Who we are
MangaTime is the Arabic-first platform that pairs an editorial magazine with a discovery library. We are not a chapter reader, not a translation-news blog, not a soulless database. We are the content layer the Arabic manga library deserves.
We edit critical reviews, analyses, rankings, and reading guides, and we arrange works so that finding what to read next feels closer to browsing a curated bookstore shelf than scrolling a search results page.
Our mission
To make Arabic-language manga writing serious — written in natural Arabic, respectful of both reader and form. No surface-level summaries; no parroting what the English internet said last week.
What we publish
- Editorial articles: Reviews, analyses, rankings, and reading guides written in magazine style, not blog style.
- A discovery library: Works arranged editorially, with categories, genres, and direct links to read chapters on mangatime.org.
- Author voices: Editors from the region, each with their own taste and pen — never a uniform robowriter.
- Regular cadence: Weekly editorial drops; daily updates to the latest-chapters feed.
What we believe
These aren't poster slogans. They are what we argue about in editorial meetings, and what makes us rewrite paragraphs we just published.
- Credibility over speed: We'd rather publish two hours late than publish a piece we'll have to walk back.
- Clarity over flourish: If a sentence fights the reader, we rewrite the sentence.
- Arabic as a native language: No machine translation, no translated-from-English mush. We write Arabic the way it's written for an Arabic reader.
- Respect for the form: We treat manga as visual literature, not just entertainment content.
- Respect for the reader: No padded listicles, no clickbait, no "you won't believe number 7."
What's next
MangaTime is young. Here's what's coming:
- Author profiles with full archives of their pieces and curated favorites.
- Search and advanced filtering across the entire library.
- A mobile app (Android, then iOS) for articles and chapter alerts.
- A weekly newsletter highlighting standout works and editorial drops.
